Chanel acquires another Italian tannery: after “Samanta” specialized in printed and embossed leathers, it is the turn of the Gaiera Giovanni tannery, its supplier of smooth and elastic leathers for more than ten years. The will is to protect, guarantee and support an essential supply chain for one’s business and for luxury as a whole, explains the French brand in a note. The Gaiera Giovanni Tannery was born in 1946 and settled in Robecchetto con Induno, (Milan). The company is specialized in the transformation and treatment of kid, lamb and calf skins.
