Bottega Veneta launches a new personalization program: a monogram can be added to the bags of the Stripe group

A way for the maison to celebrate its legendary motto ‘When Your Own Initials Are Enough’.

The slogan, coined in the ’70s, expressed the brand’s aversion to logos. In 2001, when he took over the brand, Tomas Maier used the motto as an inspiring principle. And the latest personalization program of the brand, which debuted on the catwalk for spring – summer 2018, focuses on personal initials.

Among the new women’s bags that can also be customized are the Palio Intrecciato tote and the BV73 tote and shopper.

The new customization program also includes models with the classic interwoven pattern, thanks to which the customer can create a tailor-made and timeless item to keep for many years.

For women, the selection includes the Veneta hobo, the Olimpia shoulder bag and the Cote tote, in addition to wallets, pouches and phone cases.

Men can choose between backpacks, briefcases, briefcases and essential travel items, as well as various wallets and other small leather goods. Seasonal colors and patterns will change with each new collection.  

The embossing and the printing of the monograms are free; the finished product will be available within 24 hours in selected stores or within a few days. Initials printed in a shaded font are available in three sizes and six different colors.

The hand-stitching of three-dimensional letters requires a longer period for delivery because it can only be done by Bottega Veneta artisans.

All Bottega Veneta boutiques will offer the service with a choice of letters in crocodile or carrara calf in seasonal colors.

The seam is not free, but provides a cost for each letter.
