The CFDA, the American ‘Chamber of Fashion’, creates the Black Advisory Board with the aim of promoting inclusiveness, diversity and equality in fashion. At the helm of the new structure is CaSandra Diggs, the new CFDA president alongside Tom Ford, in addition to the other members such as the designer Tracy Reese, the editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar Samira Nasr, the chief marketing officer Netflix Bozoma Saint John, Fashion Tech Connects co-founder Stacie Henderson, and Martin Cooper, CFDA member and co-founder of The Punctilious Mr. P’s Place Cards Company. Bonnie Morrison, founder of the Morrison Strategy Partners consulting firm, is entrusted with the role of creating new opportunities for color creatives in fashion.
