Balmain will be forced to change logos. The reason? Laura Biagiotti got the better of the French luxury brand, which last December presented a new logo, considered by many to be too similar to that of the historic Roman fashion house.

The similarities between the two distinctive signs had been at the center of controversies taken online as soon as the Mayhoola group’s label unveiled the new logo: numerous Instagram accounts, led by Diet Prada, had promptly highlighted the excessive similarity to the classic Laura Biagiotti logo .

Indignation, from the social media, must have turned into a dispute over the months between the two parties involved. This morning, in fact, a press release issued by the Italian company read, in fact: “Biagiotti Group Spa, Pierre Balmain Sas and Balmain Sa, are happy to communicate that they have amicably composed every issue related to a possible interference between the new monogram graphics Balmain and the “LB” logo of the Biagiotti Group. Based on this agreement, starting with the S / S 2020 collection, Balmain will start using a new version of its monogram, which will be presented to the public on that occasion ”.
