Balmain launches its first fine jewelry collections, a new gender-neutral offering, which expresses the vision of the creative director Olivier Rousteing and reflects the bold and inclusive spirit of the historic French fashion house, oriented towards quality, craftsmanship and sustainability.
Jewelry
The collection is created in collaboration with Adorisa Group. Designed in Paris and made in the best French workshops, the 32 models are made with ethical 18k gold, conflict-free minerals and traceable precious stones. “Jewelery is a natural extension of Balmain’s luxury universe – explains Jean-Jacques Guével, CEO of the brand – that’s why we collaborated with Adorisa Group on this new offer and we can’t wait to build this partnership”. The new jewelry collection will be available worldwide in Balmain boutiques, in the main luxury multi-brand fashion and jewelry stores, as well as online, from summer 2022.
Barbie
Balmain also conquers Barbie, the famous Mattel doll who will be the protagonist of a collection of prêt-à-porter fashion and accessories created by the French maison. With this collection, Barbie enters the world of digital art and launches three unique NFTs of Barbie and Ken avatars. Their look will be accompanied by a set of one-of-a-kind doll-sized Balmain garments, creating both a physical and digital collection. These Nft Barbie x Balmain are available exclusively on the Mattel Creations platform, through an online auction that has already exceeded $ 20,000 for one of the three creations.
Ready-to-wear
The Barbie x Balmain line of prêt-à-porter and accessories is inspired by the Balmain aesthetic. From a nostalgic 90s Barbie logo to a Pantone ‘Barbie pink’ to the iconic Barbie packaging, the collection of over 50 pieces by the Rousteing and Balmain team intertwines the distinctive traits of the doll with those of the brand such as marine and Labyrinth motifs.
