A contest to reward the best creative designers of the year, together with Land Rover
The 2018 edition of the Land Rover Born Awards, the awards conceived by Jean Christophe Chopin (entrepreneur lover of design) and realized by the British company with the Born team, the platform that collects and supports the creativity of the best national and International.
Six categories will be awarded (architecture, technology, design, fashion, sport and mobility) and there will be the possibility to register on March 16th on the Born website, with the winners invited to exhibit their creations during the Design Week of Milan in April.
For the 2018 edition the chosen theme is “Peerless” or “Senza Pari”: when the inimitable and the singular blend in a creative alternation, combining the values of excellence, design and skills in the various professions.
“It is an evocative term, fascinating, which refers to the idea that there is nothing comparable – the words of Gerry McGovern, chief design officer of Land Rover – A” peerless “design object stands out for its uniqueness, but it will be necessary to have imagination, intelligence and innovative spirit, with that extra feature of intuition “.
All the creatives will be able to present their projects until March 16, then the latter will be evaluated by a jury: those that will stand out for their innovative character, sustainability and relevance will be rewarded.
The Italian jury will be co-directed by Jean-Christophe Chopin, Founder, CEO and Creative Director of the Born Awards and Gerry McGovern.
Other jurors include distinguished names such as: Phillippe Lamy (Managing Director EMEA Loropiana) Marva Griffin (Founder of the Satellite Show), Luisa Collina (Principal School of Design of the Milan Polytechnic), Angelo Flaccavento (fashion journalist), Tommaso Micaglio ( Managing Partner of One33 Investment House), Carlo Borromeo (winner of the Land Rover BORN Awards 2017), Sella sisters (winners of the Land Rover BORN Awards 2017) and Daniele Maver (President of Jaguar Land Rover Italia).
