The 20th Altagamma Observatory presented in Milan, showing signs of recovery compared to the pre-pandemic period 2021, marks a clear recovery in world luxury consumption, which represents 7.4% of Italian GDP and which has grown by 134 percent in the last two decades. The high-end segment is a real locomotive for the country’s economy. In 2022, the recovery should be even more sustained for most sectors with an increase in the average company EBITDA of 10%. The reopening of the shops and the resumption of travel will consolidate, according to the Observatory, the results of the last 12 months.
