Alberta Ferretti designed stage costumes for the seventh edition of the New York City Ballet Autumn Fashion Gala, to be held on September 27
Alberta Ferretti, together with the designers Gareth Pugh and Giles Deacon, was chosen by the New York City Ballet to create the costumes for one of the three ballets that make up the evening’s program, conceived and presided by Sarah Jessica Parker.
Alberta Ferretti, in collaboration with the choreographer Gianna Reisen, member of the L. Dance Project, signs the grand finale of the evening, accompanied by the music of the composer John Adams.
“I am proud to have taken part in this special project, collaborating with the talented choreographer Gianna Reisen and with the New York City Ballet. I have lent my creativity to the theater several times in the past, but for me it is the first time I have contributed to a contemporary composition and with an American institution, “said Alberta Ferretti.
The costumes, designed by Alberta Ferretti, were created in the theater workshop of the New York City Ballet in collaboration with its Director of Costumes, Marc Happel.
