Adidas presents the new Stan Smith Mylo made using Mylo, a material obtained from the mycelium, contained in the roots of mushrooms, and which to the sight and touch reminds of the skin. “The introduction of Mylo is a big step forward in our ambitious plan to eliminate plastic waste,” explains Amy Jones Vaterlaus, global head of future at Adidas. The new concept was created thanks to the collaboration with the Bolt Threads company, which has already collaborated with Stella Mc Cartney for the launch of garments made with the same material coming from mushrooms. Hermès has also announced the launch of a bag made with a material from mushrooms.
