Watch Tinker Hatfield for Nike’s CruzrOne

To debut its latest running silhouette, Nike has tapped none other than Tinker Hatfield to unveil the CruzrOne via a short video.

The CruzrOne was inspired by a conversation Hatfield had with Nike co-founder Phil Knight about running. After Hatfield told Knight he’d heard of his eight-miles-a-day walking habit, Knight was quick to correct the designer: “I don’t walk. I run! Just really, really slowly.” With that, Hatfield designed the new model geared towards aging athletes — or simply those who prefer slower-paced runs (or “cruises,” as Hatfield started calling them).

The CruzrOne is equipped with a React-cushioned midsole and features a rounded heel for a smoother transition from heel-to-toe at a lower speed. Additionally the stretch upper is lined with shearling for support and comfort.

So far no release notes have been shared for Nike’s CruzrOne, but keep it locked here for more details when they surface. The model will debut in a few colorway options including navy, grey and black. Interested fans can head over to nike.com to be notified of the CruzrOne’s release.
